We are excited to be having the Les Marmitons Christmas Party at the facilities of Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in Marietta, Georgia. Map
It’s so exciting to see so many new faces out there! In fact, for some this may be your first Holiday Party!
Traditionally members bring their spouses to the Christmas Party – it’s just $35 for members and another $15 for your spouse. Dress is business casual. Beer, wine and cocktails (as well as the facility rental) are handled by the Club.
Usually, members prepare appetizers and desserts and bring them (prepared ahead of time) to the party but this year we are going to mix it up a little. Most of you indicated at the last dinner that you would prefer to bring a prepared dish, that’s fine! Others expressed interest in cooking at this December's party. This works out well as it will allow us to further test out the kitchen in our potential new venue while still maintaining the relaxed mood of the party.
Please use the poll feature of your evite (sent to your email) to indicate your "preferred” food contribution. I will try to accommodate you but may have to override if we end up with too many of one course. I would like to see about 15 appetizers, 3 salads, 6 desserts and 8 cooks. Remember that if you are cooking, you will need to be there early (how will your wife get there?)
If you have read this far then you deserve to have your beverage vote heard. I can’t promise but will consider your preferences here as well.
Will you drink mostly beer or wine? How much will you drink? What do you like? IPAs? What brand? White wine? What kind? Red – Cabs, Pinot’s or Merlot? What about Champagne?
Lastly, what type of main course would you like to see the cooks cook? Beef Tenderloin? Pork Loin? Shrimp? Scallops? Asparagus? Wild mushrooms? Mashed potatoes?
I look forward to seeing you all at the party!
